We’re hoping as many pupils as possible will join us for a special dinner of Hotdogs, chicken burgers, veggie nuggets, wedges, beans/peas, jelly & ice cream TOMORROW (Thursday 1st October). Breakfast Club News - How to Book Now

PARENTS: We have now reached the limit with Breakfast Club. We have had to set this limit in line with our measures for the COVID crisis. If you would like your child to be added to the waiting list please phone us on 01482 343690. Our online booking system is now closed.

Author Phil Earle Visits Stepney

We have been delighted to welcome the author Phil Earle into Stepney today. Observing COVID-safe procedures, Phil came in to inspire our KS2 pupils.

Parents' Phone Consultations Next Week

Parents We are having to do things differently this year for parent consultations. None of these can be face-to-face meetings for the time being. First, next week teachers for years 1-6 are going to give you a phone call for a quick chat. This is to talk about how your child has been since returning to school. If you have any concerns regarding school work or their general well being, then please tell us. EYFS teachers will be phoning groups of parents on a week-by-week rota. Second, after the October half term holiday we will be arranging further consultations. Year 6 - Sirius North Academy Transition News

Year 6 Parents Here is a message to you from Sirius North Academy. "Firstly, we are holding an Open Evening still, however, this year it will be virtual on www.siriusacademynorth.org.uk On Thursday 1st October there will be a video on our website, 16:00 with presentations from key staff. This will include a promotional video showing you around the academy and also a competition. The theme is Roald Dahl and the competition is on our website. To enter, children need to visit our website, solve our clues and find the hidden Roald Dahl books. We will be giving out further invites to you via your childs' primary school shortly"

No Nail Varnish or Make Up

Please may we remind all parents that pupils should not wear nail varnish or other make up in school. Long, hooped and dangly earings should not be worn for health and safety reasons.

Beverley Road Baths Old Photos

Contractors are busy renovating the roof on the Beverley Road Swimming Baths. They have used some of the old photos that we acquired from the Hull History Centre to adorn the hordings.

New Black & Minority Ethnic Books in School

Today, we have distributed collections of BAME matters to each class. While Thursday 1st October marks the start of Black History Month, having access to such books is vital every day.

As week 3 of this new term draws to an end, we would like to say a big thank you to all of our parents and pupils. It has been an unusual start to the term, with many new routines in place. These are primarily to protect pupils and staff in the present COVID pandemic. The health and safety of everyone at Stepney is paramount in our minds. We are following the guidance that is given to us and ensuring pupils and staff are being tested or told to isolate whenever this need arises. FLU Vaccinations for Pupils on 23rd October 2020

NHS Parent Survey - your views are needed...

Public Health – Hull City Council commission a number of services, one of those service is the 0-19 Integrated Public Health Nursing Service (IPHN).  The current service is due to be re-commissioned and we are looking to engage with local service users to provide them with the opportunity to shape what the next commissioned service looks like. As school nursing is part of the 0-19 IPHN service they would be grateful if parents of primary school aged children would feed back their thoughts on the service and how it could be improved.  Please click on this link to access the survey.

Letter for parents about COVID-19 symptoms

Public Health England have produced a letter for schools to distribute to parents which explains when a person requires a coronavirus test and what the symptoms of coronavirus are. The Department has asked us to circulate this letter amongst parents at our school. The intention of the letter is to help prevent children being taken out of school unnecessarily and answer some of the questions parents may have around testing. Please click on the link.

Extra Curricular Clubs at Stepney

At this point in the school year, we usually give parents information about all the exciting after school clubs that are run at Stepney. Unfortunately, with the present COVID pandemic and the increasing rise in cases nationwide, our offer is going to be substantially reduced this year. We hope to give you some information very soon.
