Cara and Maryam joined Mr Browning in leading our assembly this morning. We looked a feature on the BBC news all about the government's aim to reduce plastic waste and we all viewed some shocking video footage showing oceans polluted with plastic bottles and plastic bags. Cara and Maryam are going to be collecting in the disposable bottles and making some waste paper bins from them. However, they've also been doing a survey of whether pupils bring in reusable bottles or disposable ones. Our aim is to have everyone bringing in reusable bottles. This links in the Global Goals for Sustainable Development programme that these two pupils are involved in with the International Pupil Council.
