Farm Fun for Reception

Our Reception class travelled to Densholme farm in Great Hatfield today, to find out about all the animals that they care for there. They fed the chickens, saw the pigs, goats and stroked a baby chick. A walk in the woodland area to look at the different trees and insects there provided a fitting finale to a great experience. With one last play on their adventure trail, the class then travelled to look at the nearby wind turbine before heading home. It was a beautiful hot and sunny day and the perfect way for the children to find out about the countryside.
