Edinburgh - Day Two

Following a hearty breakfast, we set off for the short walk to the Castle, which was just over the road from our lodgings. This famous ancient monument provided a whole morning of interest and education for everyone. We split into groups and toured this wonderfully exciting castle, looking at the Scottish Crown Jewels and the many exhibits telling the story of this fortress. We then returned to collect our belongings before returning to the station for our return train home. Throughout the visit, we were accompanied by Natasha, Luke and Mark from Hull Children's University, who were there to ensure everything went like clockwork. It was a truly awe-inspiring adventure. Special mention must go to the pupils for their perfect behaviour and to all the staff for making this a visit to remember. As parents and their children reunited back at Paragon station this evening, there were huge smiles all around. We now can't wait till the next residential. For any pupils or parents who may have reservations about such residential visits, just talk to our year 6 pupils and they will tell you first-hand how brilliant it was.
