This morning, parents and some of our year 6 pupils joined our Reception pupils in the hall for the launch of our latest Home Reading initiative. We had adults and older children sharing reading books with our young pupils as well as some whole class stories. Reading at home is a key factor in helping pupils to progress and enjoy reading. There's nothing quite like sitting down with someone for a read of a good book. Children love reading to people and also love hearing stories read to them.
