Year 5 take on the Hulltimate Challenge

This afternoon, year 5 went to Queen's Gardens in the city centre to sample a variety of the activifies which are part of the Hulltimate Challenge Weekend. In a city where the risk of flooding is second only to that of London, the theme of 'Living With Water' is appropriate! This marks the start of a weekend of events which are open to the public. Please click here to go to the website about the activities taking place.

There are over 30 obstacles within the city centre as part of 5k, 7.5k and 10k events. Participants will be able to see Hull Minster from the top of a giant inflatable slide or take a dip in an ice filled skip by The Deep. This race is about having fun but also about raising awareness of the flood risk in Hull to help people be more prepared. Alongside the race there will be a fun, interactive FREE Humbrella trail, where people can learn all about taking care of themselves - "everything from being more active to keeping your house safe".
