Today, we have taken ten Y5/6 children split into 2 teams to Costello Stadium for the Badminton Championship Qualifier. Considering this was the first experience of badminton for most of our children, both teams were very competitive, winning several matches and coming close in others.
Stepney B made it to the semi-finals but were pipped by the overall winners, but did manage to pick up third place in a very close final game. The scores were tied going into the last match-up, with pupils showing great determination and self-belief to keep going and get us the victory for the Bronze.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their experience and will no doubt continue their passion in this fun sport.
