Christmas @ St. Mary's Church, Sculcoates

We have had another memorable Christmas Service at St. Mary's Church this morning. Although he had the cold that has been sweeping throught the community, Father Phil led us for a great service. We love the connections we have with St. Mary's. It certainly ends the term in a positive fashion and really starts the build up to Christmas Day. Two years ago when Father Phil came to St. Mary's we used to have just a handful of parents join us. Today, we had scores of parents join us to help create a wonderful atmosphere. They just keep on getting better! In his address, Mr Browning spoke about year 4's very special Christmas present - Daisy the Sea Turtle. Aided by two of our pupils, he spoke about the dangers of having too much plastic packaging and the fact that saving a sea turtle is one of the best things we can do this Christmas. Father Phil spoke about how all of the children at Stepney are the best gifts that their parents can have.
