Today's Famous Brits Assembly was about Jill Murphy, who is an English writer and illustrator of children's books, best known for the Worst Witch novels and the "Large Family" picture books. She has been called "one of the most engaging writers and illustrators for children in the land". Jill has been in our thoughts recently, because KS2 recently visited Hull New Theatre to see a production of 'The Worst WItch' and that, in turn, triggered us to celebrate World Book Day with a witches and wizards theme.
