While some year 6 pupils were helping David Longthorne plant trees on Barmston Drain, Mr Browning and Mrs Bayley and the other members of the class were planting Silver Birch, Wild Cherry and Rowan saplings at the far end of our school field. These have been given to the school by the Woodland Trust and we are indebted to them for this. The thirty trees will eventually provide a much needed addition to our school field, providing shade and encouraging even more wildlife. This will make a good contrast to the other side of the field, where we are planting a small orchard of fruit trees.
