We were delighted to welcome Gary and Hazel from the Stephen Hughes Foundation to our Friday afternoon assembly. They have kindly donated a grant of £492 for us to purchase a new football kit for our team plus some exciting equipment for some new sports clubs in 2018 (watch this space for more details!). We would like to thank Gary and Hazel for their very generous gift. Hazel spoke to pupils about her son Stephen, who was a primary school teacher who tragically died after a six month battle with a rare heart condition called 'Giant Cell Myocarditis' in October 2014. Since then the foundation has been raising money for good causes as well as too fund research into this condition.
