Sierra Leone Day

Miss Baitson and Mrs Warcup spent the day going from classroom to classroom to talk to pupils about their recent exciting visit to Adeline School in Sierra Leone. They showed many photos and video clips to give a flavour of their adventure. In each room, there was silence as the pupils were totally absorbed with the tales from our two teachers. There were scores of sensible questions from all the year groups. It was a truly wonderful day.

In addition, a number of pupils came dressed in their national traditional costumes. In addition to the Sierra Leonian costumes that Miss Baitson, Mrs Warcup, Mr Brown and Mr Browning were wearing, we had costumes from El Salvador, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Iraq and Kazakhstan to name but a few! We certainly have a rich multicultural population at Stepney!
