In the recent past Year 5 & 6 have dissected a heart as part of their science lessons but today's lesson was another first. Mrs Brocklebank showed them how to cut up a pig's eye. Pigs have some of the largest eyes so they are a good subject to use. Once dissected, it gave our eager pupils the chance to look at the different parts of the eye. This is part of their thematic unit on light. Everyone was certainly excited before the lesson and they weren't disappointed.

Many thanks to the staff for putting this on. it definitely brings the awe and wonder element to the science lessons.
