BBC Look North had phoned Mr Browning up to say they were doing a lead story following a report on children's health. They wondered if we could help them with footage and interviews for this, which we readily agreed to. A crew came down this morning to film year 3 having a PE lesson then interviews with Mr Jones, Mr Browning, Mr Everett and some pupils from year 6. They broadcast the report at lunch then sent another crew at home time to interview parents. An extended report went out at 6pm as the lead story. It was great to be able to report all the positive actions that we are taking at Stepney to improve children's health.
