Famous Brit of the Week #48 - Charles Darwin

Today's Famous Brits Assembly was about Charles Darwin, and it was presented by two of our year 5 boys. Charles Robert Darwin, FRS FRGS FLS FZS was an English naturalist, geologist and biologist, best known for his contributions to the science of evolution. His proposition that all species of life have descended over time from common ancestors is now widely accepted, and considered a foundational concept in science. His book, ‘On the Origin of Species’ was instrumental in changing traditional thinking about evolution.
