Year 4 have had a brilliant treat this morning. Along with pupils from six other schools who are involved with the Ready Steady Read organisation, they went to the Reel Cinema in St. Stephen's shopping centre to watch the new Dumbo movie. Ready Steady Read provide volunteer readers in schools. They do a brilliant job at our school and other partner schools. For each school, there was also a drawing competition. Lenya won it for Stepney and received a goody bag with a soft toy elephant (the Ready Steady Read Mascot). We are indebted to the kindness and generosity of this wonderful organisation.
