IMPORTANT MESSAGE following the Prime Minister's latest announcement of 10th May 2020

We're sure that after the Prime Minister's statement last night, there are may questions you have. We have many questions that need clarification as well. We had hoped Mr Johnson would have given more details.

At the moment, for us in school, there is no change to the guidance. We will offer provision for those parents whose work is critical to the COVID-19 response and only those that cannot be cared for safely at home. The message is still that it is safer to stay at home.

We have not received any information to support us with the Prime Minister's intention to start the phased reopening of some year groups. We expect to receive further information from the DfE shortly, hopefully with some clarification.

We will need clear guidance to plan how it is possible to social distance in schools and to keep our children, teachers and families safe; how we might start to phase groups of children returning to school and what this looks like. Please be reassured that there is no way we will reopen until we are 100% prepared.

As always, we will keep you informed but for now, please try not to worry. Our plan for now is to continue to provide activities on our Home Learning Pages, keep contact with you, our families, and continue to support each other in these very difficult and uncertain times.

If your circumstances have changed regarding being key workers, then please contact us on 01482 343690 and select option 2 or 3 or email us on admin.stepney@yhclt.net
