In a bid to get the children more physically active since the lockdown and summer holidays, we have booked the company 'Skip2b Fit' to come in every Tuesday after half term to deliver a 30minute skipping session across all year groups.
Each session lasts between 25-30mins (20mins for EYFS) and includes skipping exercises followed by a 2 minute skipping challenge. Children will be working to improve their score as the weeks progress, improving their fitness, confidence and all-round well-being.
To help with this Mr Jones will also be running a 'Skipping Club' at lunch times for children to come and practise.
All activities will be carried out in a safe manner, with any visitors to school following our risk assessment procedures.
We had our first sessions with the coach today and all the pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
