Thanks to Parents and Pupils

As week 3 of this new term draws to an end, we would like to say a big thank you to all of our parents and pupils. It has been an unusual start to the term, with many new routines in place. These are primarily to protect pupils and staff in the present COVID pandemic. The health and safety of everyone at Stepney is paramount in our minds. We are following the guidance that is given to us and ensuring pupils and staff are

being tested or told to isolate whenever this need arises.

In school, pupils and staff are working in bubbles and ensuring hygiene routines are being followed. Hand

washing with soap and water combined with using hand sanitisers is taking place throughout the day. We have different routines for playtimes and staggered starts and ends of the day. At lunch, there are different seating arrangements and dining hall layouts to ensure we may continue to provide hot, freshly-cooked meals to pupils.

At the moment, we are not providing extra curricular clubs. With the different start/end times and the mixing of bubbles plus implications around sharing resources we have concentrated on normal classroom routines first. Regrettably, other things on the school calendar are going to be affected with events such as exhibition mornings, craft sessions, assemblies, church services being affected.

We will also have to change the way we do parents consultations. More information will follow about this.

Many thanks to all our parents for helping us by wearing masks on school site. This has really helped us.

Finally, if you have any concerns about your child that you need to share with us or worries that you have, please contact us at school. We are here to help.
