Global Partnerships - Sierra Leone

In 2010, Stepney Primary started some global partnership work with a school in Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone.

Mr Browning visited the International Cooperative Preparatory School (ICOPS), our first twinned school in March 2010.

A year later, in 2011, Mrs Warcup and Mr Burton visited the school. On both occasions, staff from ICOPS came back on a return visit.

We have recently been working with our second school, Adeline Nursery & Preparatory School. Apart from an interruption, caused by the Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone, we have maintained our links, sending staff out to the African country. We have recently had Miss Baitson and Mrs Warcup visiting our new school and establishing firm links and great friendships.

Our teachers and pupils have been involved on different projects with these schools, making firm friendships with staff and pupils there.
